Biography

Geoffrey is the firm’s managing partner and has been a lawyer for over twenty years. He has been top ranked in Chambers and Partners for the last seven years. In its 2020 Global Guide, he was described as a, “very powerful advocate” with “great people skills,” who “cuts to the chase” while still being “a very listening individual.” He also receives praise for his strong business sense in both litigious and transactional matters.

Geoffrey co-heads the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Department. He is an astute litigator, but still regularly advises both lenders and borrowers in complex cross-border financing transactions, receivers and liquidators in insolvency matters and companies in joint venture agreements, mergers and acquisitions. He has also been appointed to act as receiver by local financial institutions. He recently completed the LL.M Course (audited) in Advanced Corporate Insolvency Law with the University of the West Indies.

A dynamic mentor and leader, with a sustained drive for excellence and innovation, Geoffrey drives and oversees the firm’s practice management systems.
