Biography

Michael DuBoulay is a partner in the firm and manages the day-to-day operations of the Property and Corporate Departments.

Over his 13-year career in legal practice in Saint Lucia, Michael has distinguished himself as an astute and business-minded commercial, corporate and property practitioner. He prides himself on being methodical, meticulous and having a keen eye for detail.

Michael spent the first six years of his legal career in litigation where he gained substantial experience in matters involving banking, debt collection, construction, personal injury and other general civil and commercial matters. It was during this time that he also assumed conduct of the corporate secretarial portfolio and advised clients on such matters as corporate structures and governance, share and asset sale and purchases, licencing and regulatory issues.

In January 2017, Michael transitioned from litigation to a more specialised role in Property where he has represented an assortment of clients in real estate and other financing transactions. Michael has, along with other team members, acted on behalf of major international financial institutions and other clients in relation to cross-border financing transactions and advisory matters, and mergers and acquisitions relating to, among other things, hotels and real estate developments.
