Biography

Sardia is a partner in the firm and is a co-head of the Litigation Department. She has over 16 years’ experience in civil law practice in Saint Lucia and regularly advises on banking, commercial and transactional matters.

She has experience in conveyancing and has worked on several mergers and acquisitions and on complex cross-border financing transactions. Sardia, who routinely advises clients on insolvency matters, and has acted as a receiver-manager and a court-appointed liquidator. In 2020, she completed the LL.M Course (audited) in Advanced Corporate Insolvency Law with the University of the West Indies.

Prior to joining the firm, Sardia worked at the Commonwealth Secretariat in London where she advised small states on the implementation of environment conventions. Upon her return to Saint Lucia, she was employed as a Judicial Research Assistant at the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court and enjoyed a stint as Acting Executive Legal Assistant to the Chief Justice.

Sardia maintains an interest in environmental matters and routinely volunteers her time to support the work of local environment agencies.
